“How did you first meet?” This is one of the questions we always asks a couple when we speak to them for the first time. We love hearing about their journey to love. What led them to meeting each other and how their romance brought them to their wedding day. It’s so amazing to see how a couple lights up when they talk about what it was like when they saw each other for the first time. Colin and Rachel have one of the most unique stories we’ve heard. The two are high school sweethearts who first met in the penalty box. From that moment on their love began to blossom.
It was a gorgeous fall day in early October when the two tied the knot. The sun was shining bright and the sky was such a magnificent blue. It was just the perfect day for their wedding. Rachel looked absolutely radiant as she walked down the aisle. When Colin saw her walking towards him you could see so much love and pride expressed in his first glance at her. The ceremony was so powerful, including a moment to consider the foundation on which their love was built. The reverend had a pile of stone and placed one on top of the other to show how their family helped to pave the way for their love.
We accompanied Colin and Rachel to Victoria Park after their ceremony. They went there to get their pictures taken. The shoot was a fairytale. The fall colors made for the perfect backdrop. As the sun began to set we captured the sweetest moments between Colin and Rachel. One of our favourite moments was when Colin picked up his bride, who had such a happy look on her face, and they kissed. We adore this scene in their trailer, which you can check out below.
